Round Rock Chamber Names New Talent Development Manager
The Round Rock Chamber is pleased to announce that Lauren Van Gerven has joined the chamber team as talent development manager and will begin her new role on June 1, 2020.
Lauren will lead and grow the chamber’s workforce and business development program. She will be responsible for connecting local businesses to resources that help them thrive in our community. She will also lead the stellar execution and growth of the chamber’s workforce strategy and leadership programs, including Leadership Round Rock and Ascend.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Lauren to the team”, said Jason Ball, the chamber’s president and CEO. “She comes with an excellent background in this exact kind of work with businesses and with economic development agencies.”
Lauren most recently worked as the Labor Market Analyst and business representative for Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas. At Workforce Solutions, she worked with various industries and educational partners to help better align the local workforce supply with the region’s demands. Lauren has led industry workforce efforts and understands the central role that education partners play in customizing solutions for economic development success.
“I am very excited to join the team at the Round Rock Chamber and I am looking forward to working with area businesses on their workforce development needs. Even though I have only just relocated to the area, I can already feel a great sense of community and can’t wait to become a part of it,” said Van Gerven.
Lauren is a native of Belgium who moved to Texas eleven years ago to continue her education and play college golf at Lamar University in Beaumont, where she obtained a bachelor of science in communications and an MBA in marketing management.
