Round Rock is a certified music friendly community through the Texas Music Office’s “Music Friendly Community” program which provides communities with a network for fostering music industry development. More than 50+ live music events take place throughout Round Rock each week, meaning 2,600 performances are taking place each year. Additionally, Round Rock is less than 30 minutes away from Austin City Limits, one of the largest annual music festivals in the country.

The City of Round Rock is a Texas friendly film community. Dozens of films and TV shows, from small indie passion projects to blockbusters have been shot in and around Round Rock including notable project such as Miss Congeniality, The Rookie and Friday Night Lights.

Round Rock offers an array of public art throughout the city. More than fifty art sculptures are on the Downtown, Prete and Centennial Plazas and at Chisholm Trail Park. The Downtowner Gallery, presented by Round Rock Arts and the City of Round Rock’s Art & Culture Department, exhibits the art of local artists and offers education for any level of experience.  Additionally. the city annually hosts Round Rock Chalk Walk Arts Festival , a festival featuring hundreds of artists, vendors, local and regional musicians, and theatrical performances.

Sam Bass Community Theatre (SBCT) has been offering quality live theater to the Round Rock for more than thirty five years. SBCT offers a wide variety of theater during each season, with a careful eye towards providing a season that is well-balanced for all tastes. In addition to regular theatrical offerings, SBCT provides ongoing theater education through Director’s Workshop and Youth Guild Summer Camp Programs.

The Central Texas Philharmonic is committed to enriching the quality of life in the greater Round Rock community. They are passionate about music and are united in a desire to be a vigorous part of the cultural fabric of the community. The Central Texas Philharmonic embraces a responsibility to serve and expand their audience through creative programming, broader venues, and increased educational opportunities.

Round Rock’s homegrown dining scene offers high-quality dishes and unique restaurants offering a wide variety of options. Downtown Round Rock offers a vibrant and welcoming main street with plenty of options for happy hour or a late night toast.
