Six Finalists Announced for the 2024 Round Rock Startup Pitch Competition

Round Rock, Tx. (April 17, 2024) – The Round Rock Chamber announced 6 finalists for the 2024 Round Rock Start-Up Pitch Competition.

Excitement is building as the second annual Round Rock Startup Pitch Competition gears up to take place on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the Texas State University Round Rock Campus. As a highlight of the inaugural Round Rock Startup Day, this competition promises to showcase the innovative spirit and entrepreneurial talent thriving within the community.

After careful consideration and evaluation, the organizing committee is thrilled to announce the six finalists who will compete:

1. Cardi/o, Sajol Ghoshal: Cardi/o’s lifesaving touchless radar heart monitor alerts nurses to abnormal heart rhythms thus reducing hospital readmissions, while automatically meeting Medicare’s minimum 16 days of monitoring data requirement without the patient wearing anything or doing anything.
2. Atolla Tech, Sonia Dagan: Atolla Tech is developing a cutting-edge solution designed for the identification and classification of malicious drone activities. It employs advanced sensors and algorithms to identify a drone in milliseconds and differentiate between friendly and hostile drones, ensuring airspace security in sensitive areas.
3. Elysium Robotics, Rodrigo Alvarez: Elysium Robotics is developing a new core technology that replaces electric motors and enables a new generation of highly capable and inexpensive robots. This addresses labor shortages, increases productivity and re-shores manufacturing across several macro-industries.
4. FancyAI, Matt Howell & Scott Hastings: FancyAI is a software platform that creates, manages and optimizes all of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) automatically.  With FancyAI any business can reduce their cost for SEO by 75% or more and eliminate the need for expensive agencies.”
5. Flourish Plant, Lila Sullivan: Flourish is revolutionizing the plant care space. We are a plant care brand, bringing better-for-you products to the next generation of house plant parents. Just two years ago, we launched our cornerstone product – Flourish Plant Food – an organic houseplant fertilizer made from upcycled food waste. Since launching we are in over 300+ retail doors!
6. Funky Mello, Delisa Harper: Fueled by personal experiences with food allergies, we created a line of chickpea-based whipped dips, desserts, and snacks that redefine indulgence. Funky Mello’s products offer a delicious and inclusive alternative to traditional dairy-based toppings and spreads that are free from allergens and artificial ingredients.

These six startups represent the diversity of innovation and entrepreneurship in Round Rock and the surrounding area. Each finalist will have the opportunity to pitch their business to a panel of esteemed judges for a chance at a grand prize valued at over $10,000.
