RRISD RRISD Citizens Bond Committee
Round Rock ISD (RRISD) has been evaluating the future and necessary investments needed to maintain the existing campuses of RRISD, fund future development, and provide the tools and resources needed to continue to provide RRISD students a quality education. Building on the work done by the Long-Range Facilities Master Planning Committee and following the March 28th school board meeting, RRISD called for a citizen’s bond committee to be formed. More than 120 people volunteered to join the group, which is supported by staff and senior district leadership. Once the committee was formed, the first meeting of the 2024 Citizens Bond Committee (CBC) was held in late April to create bond recommendations for the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees.
Since the initial meeting, the CBC met throughout May and June to recommend to the Board of Trustees in the following areas: Capital Renewal, Fine Arts & Athletics, Growth, Safety & Security and Technology. The committees final recommendations will be presented to the Board of Trustees in July. The Board of Trustees will decide whether the district should call for a bond and has until Aug. 19 to call for a bond. Only the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees can call for a bond.
