Round Rock Chamber Celebrates Economic Development Week: May 8-12, 2023

The Round Rock Chamber is excited to promote Economic Development Week (EDW), a national celebration of economic development professionals and the positive impact they have on local economies. As a rapidly growing city, Round Rock continues to prioritize economic development to ensure we diversify our economy by attracting new businesses to the area while also supporting the growth of existing businesses and entrepreneurs.

Economic Development Week was created by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) in 2016 to increase awareness of local programs that create jobs, advance career development opportunities, and improve the quality of life in communities everywhere.

In honor of EDW and recognizing the importance of supporting existing industry, the Round Rock Chamber is proud to launch the inaugural Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) Visitation Program. Over the course of one week, the Chamber’s economic development team – along with representatives from the City of Round Rock, workforce development partners and Momentum business leaders – will survey approximately 40 businesses across the community to address business challenges and understand future growth opportunities.

We believe that a thriving business community is essential to the success and growth of our city.

Information gathered during these face-to-face visits will help inform our teams so that we can continue to provide support for local employers to ensure they have the resources necessary to maintain and grow operations in Round Rock.

We are proud of the work our economic development team has done and continues to do to make Round Rock an attractive destination for businesses of all sizes. As we celebrate Economic Development Week, we encourage everyone to support their local economic development professionals and recognize the important role they play in building strong, prosperous communities. Together, we can continue to drive growth and success in Round Rock and beyond.
