Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) Visitation Program Recap Overview

ROUND ROCK, TX (May 13, 2024) – The Round Rock Chamber’s Economic Development team was delighted to launch the 2nd Annual Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) Visitation Program last week during National Economic Development Week. Below, we have compiled an informative overview to provide a better understanding of the program’s scope and the value derived from implementing this Workforce Development initiative.

WHAT DOES THE BRE VISITATION PROGRAM ENTAIL?
Over the course of one week, representatives from the Round Rock Chamber Economic Development (ED) team, alongside workforce development partners and Momentum leaders, conducted face-to-face visits with over 40 companies, engaging with more than 100 business contacts. These visits facilitated surveys aimed at identifying business challenges and exploring future growth opportunities for organizations within the Round Rock community.

WHY WAS THE BRE VISITATION PROGRAM LAUNCHED?
At the Round Rock Chamber, we recognize that a thriving business community is paramount to the success and advancement of our city. In our ongoing commitment to support the needs and expansion endeavors of local businesses, we are dedicated to gaining comprehensive insights into the requirements and resources necessary for driving forward the growth initiatives of these companies.

WHAT COMES FROM THE BRE VISITATION PROGRAM?
The information gathered during these in-person meetings is conscientiously compiled and organized according to various parameters (e.g., by industry, company size, strengths, weaknesses, etc.) for our team to conduct further analysis. This analysis serves to provide valuable insights and trends that inform our strategic planning efforts aimed at fostering a conducive environment for local businesses to flourish and expand within Round Rock.

HOW CAN I LEARN MORE ABOUT THE 2024 BRE VISITATION PROGRAM RESULTS?
Having concluded on Friday of last week, the team will now consolidate all gathered information to conduct a thorough data analysis and present the collective results. Momentum Investors will have the opportunity to learn more about these results at the upcoming May 22 Quarterly Investor meeting. Additionally, a summary of the BRE Visitation Program results will be distributed to the full membership in an upcoming newsletter and posted to our website. Stay updated with Round Rock Chamber announcements through our e-newsletters, social media platforms and website.

Finally, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to all the businesses that participated in this year’s Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) Visitation program, as well as to the volunteers who helped facilitate the visits. Your contributions are instrumental in continually laying a solid foundation for local businesses to thrive and grow within our community.
