Dr. Steve Flores to receive recognition from the Round Rock City Council May 13

The Round Rock City Council will be recognizing the work of Round Rock ISD Superintendent Dr. Steve Flores at its meeting Thursday, May 13 at 6:00 p.m. The community is invited to attend.

Dr. Flores served Round Rock ISD as superintendent for more than seven years, a capstone to 37 years of service to public education in Texas. During his tenure as superintendent, in addition to investing in leadership development and the long-term needs of students and teachers, Dr. Flores established highly productive relationships with the city and the business communities in Round Rock and Austin. Dr. Flores was named the Texas PTA Superintendent of the Year in 2020 and the Austin Chamber as the 2019 Central Texas Superintendent of the Year in recognition of Round Rock ISD successes in college readiness rates.
