Cruising Through Careers: 7th-8th Grade Career Exploration Event

Over 2,500 middle school students attended the Cruising through Careers event on February 27th, hosted by Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area. At the event, students had an opportunity to speak to company representatives to highlight the various career pathways or jobs available within their industry/business.

Local students from Leander ISD, Liberty Hill ISD, Round Rock ISD, Taylor ISD, and Thrall Independent School District explored 7 career industry zones, discovering pathways in skilled trades, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, IT, and more.

A big thank you to the 60+ businesses and educational institutions, as well as the participating ISDs, for their contributions to making this immersive event possible.
