Celebrating the 2025 Leadership Round Rock, Ascend Graduates

Last week we had the pleasure of celebrating the Class of 2025 graduates from two of our premier leadership programs: Leadership Round Rock and Ascend.

These graduates completed a year-long journey designed to strengthen their leadership skills, expand their understanding of our community, and build lasting connections that will serve Round Rock well into the future. By choosing to invest their time and talents locally, these leaders are helping shape the kind of engaged, forward-thinking community that truly sets Round Rock apart.

Leadership Round Rock is dedicated to developing informed, civic-minded leaders while raising awareness of the issues and opportunities that influence our city’s growth. Throughout the program, participants explored topics such as Round Rock’s history, infrastructure, education system, and the importance of community involvement. Along the way, they also enjoyed some memorable hands-on experiences—including touring a water treatment plant, driving a police car, and operating a fire hose. Each year, the class selects a nonprofit organization to support through a class project, and this year’s cohort raised more than $35,000 to invest in additional therapy resources for ROCK Ride on Center for Kids — including purchasing two new horses — as well as scholarships for future leadership participants.

Ascend is the Round Rock Chamber’s advanced leadership program, designed for emerging leaders ready to take their impact to the next level. As the graduate-level extension of Leadership Round Rock, Ascend offers a deeper dive into complex community challenges while creating meaningful opportunities to learn from Ascend alumni and local mentors. Participants worked to refine their leadership goals and identify ways they can continue contributing to Round Rock’s long-term success.

During the graduation celebration, speakers encouraged participants to see this milestone not as the end of their leadership development, but as the beginning of a lifelong journey of service, growth, and community involvement.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025! Your commitment to leadership and civic engagement reflects the spirit that makes Round Rock such a special place to live, work, and raise a family. We are grateful for your investment in our community’s future and look forward to seeing the positive impact you will continue to make for years to come.
