Relocating a headquarters is no simple task. That is why west coast-based Amazing Magnets’ move to Round Rock in 2021 created such a buzz in the city’s business community. Since 2002, the company been manufacturing magnetic-related devices and products from its facility in Anaheim, Ca., while also offering rapid prototyping, design and customized engineering solutions for their global customers.
Now located in a new, 40,000-square-foot state-of-the-art global headquarters amidst other innovative manufacturers, Magnets is reaping the benefits of Round Rock’s world-class talent and strong entrepreneurial spirit.
Family-owned Amazing Magnets had been considering Round Rock for their new headquarters since 2019. Ultimately, Round Rock’s strong business climate and supportive community that aligned with the company’s focus on giving back were just a few of the things that won over Amazing Magnets.
“After visiting Round Rock and witnessing its economic growth, diversification and meeting its people, we felt like we had found our home away from home,” said Amazing Magnets Founder & CEO Tim Boettcher.
The company currently has 25 employees at its facility plans to continue to expand its workforce.
With the expanded space, Amazing Magnets has big plans for its new headquarters in Round Rock. The facility already has an engineering and design workspace with a miniature rollercoaster that demonstrates its magnetic braking system. A learning and media center will also allow the company to educate strategic partners and community thought leaders as well as offering continuous learning opportunities for employees.
“The Amazing Magnets team and organization exemplifies the type of people and businesses we want to attract and welcome to the Round Rock community,” said Jordan Robinson, president and CEO of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce. ”We’re optimistic that we will continue to see more good things like this happen for the city of Round Rock.”
