Emerson Automation Solutions Finds an Ideal Partner in Round Rock

A Supportive Climate for Business  

In 2014 Emerson opened its 282,000-square-foot Process Systems and Solutions Innovation Center in Round Rock to drive research for its process control and automation technologies. The company has since brought 750 new jobs to the city, making it one of Round Rock’s largest employers. 

Emerson Automation Solutions also has a history of neighborly support from the third-largest PC vendor by unit sales, Dell Technologies, located just a few minutes away. The companies have been collaborating for years on projects like Emerson’s DeltaV™ Digital Automation System, which helps customers expedite the development and manufacturing of innovative products and services.  

Growing Business and Community 

 In November 2021, Emerson announced plans to expand its existing facility with a new, next-generation collaboration workspace. A few months later in February 2022, Round Rock City Council approved an economic incentive agreement for the company that will result in $9 million in real property improvement and business personal property by the end of 2023. Operations at the expanded facility will also create at least 50 new jobs as part of the agreement.

Companies like Emerson continue to expand in Round Rock because of available talent from higher education institutions like Austin Community College and a business climate that advocates for company success.
