Round Rock Chamber Start-Up Pitch Competition Winners

Round Rock, Tx. (May 5, 2023) – The Round Rock Chamber is pleased to announce the winners of the inaugural Round Rock Start-up Pitch Competition. The competition was designed to provide entrepreneurs with an opportunity to showcase their businesses to community leaders and partners to further grow Round Rock’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Eight finalists pitched their companies to a panel made up of entrepreneurs and community leaders yesterday, Thursday, May 4. Chosen by an advisory group of local business leaders, the finalists were selected out of 24 impressive entries.

The winner of the Round Rock Start-up Pitch Competition is Hem Support Wear, LLC. As the winner of the competition, Lauren Fleming will receive a prize package valued at $10,750 which includes a cash prize of $5,000, a Dell Work-from-Home setup valued at $5,000 and various in-kind services.

The runner-up of the competition is Good+Ready Provisions. As the runner-up, Tara Chapman will receive a Logitech Bluetooth Wireless Split Keyboard, a 2-hour Marketing Session with CEO of No Time for Social and other in-kind services.

In addition to the judge’s winner and runner up, the crowd had the opportunity to vote for their favorite pitch. The winner of the Crowd Favorite was Six Solve.

“We were impressed with the quality of the businesses that participated in the competition,” said Jordan Robinson, President and CEO of the Round Rock Chamber. “Lauren and Tara stood out among the rest with their innovative ideas and dedication to improving their industries. We’re excited to see where these businesses go in the future.”

The Round Rock Start-up Pitch Competition is just one of the many initiatives that the Round Rock Chamber has implemented to support the growth of local businesses. The Chamber offers a variety of resources, including networking opportunities, programs and events to help entrepreneurs start and grow successful businesses in Round Rock.

The pitch competition is hosted by the Round Rock Chamber. Sponsors for the event include Amy Cobb Global Consulting, CENTRO Event Space, Dell Technologies, Economic Growth Business Incubator, No Time for Social, Logitech and Texas State University.
