Round Rock Chamber Names Danielle Morrissey Director of Workforce and Industry Development
The Round Rock Chamber has named Danielle Morrissey as Director of Workforce and Industry Development. In this role, Danielle leads the chamber’s talent development and business retention efforts. This includes being the chamber staff leader for the Ascend and Leadership Round Rock programs. Danielle reports to Jordan Robinson, Vice President of Economic Development.
Prior to coming to Round Rock, Danielle was the Director of Programming and Special Projects at One Acadiana, the regional economic development organization and chamber of commerce for South Louisiana’s nine-parish (county) region, known as “Acadiana.” During her three and a half years at One Acadiana, she promoted business attraction, worked with existing industry to retain and increase jobs, coordinated with workforce development providers, and oversaw the implementation of strategic initiatives and programs.
Before her time at One Acadiana, Danielle spent four years working for Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition (LAGCOE), a nonprofit energy industry organization focused on STEM education programs and technical conferences. While at LAGCOE, she managed and developed their industry relationships and oversaw all aspects of programming.
Danielle graduated with a bachelor of science in mass communication from McNeese State University and received her master of science with a concentration in public relations from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
