Round Rock Chamber Leads Economic Development Recruitment Trip to New York City
The Round Rock Chamber recently led a delegation of city leaders, business executives, and Momentum investors on a three-day economic development recruitment trip to New York City, October 28–30. The trip provided an opportunity to showcase Round Rock’s competitive advantages, strengthen relationships with national site selection consultants, and connect with companies and organizations that could play a role in the community’s future economic growth. The delegation represented a collaborative effort between the public and private sectors to position Round Rock as a premier destination for business investment, innovation, and job creation.
Throughout the trip, the delegation participated in a series of strategic meetings with corporate leaders, site selection professionals, and innovative companies. Highlights included meetings with Deloitte, Development Counsellors International (DCI), Hickey & Associates, CBRE, PermitFlow, and Mansueto Ventures, publisher of Inc. and Fast Company. The group also visited Newlab, a leading innovation hub supporting emerging technologies and startups, to explore opportunities for collaboration and business recruitment. A particularly memorable highlight was a visit to the New York Stock Exchange, where delegates received a behind-the-scenes look at one of the world’s most recognized financial institutions and experienced the closing bell.
The recruitment trip reinforced the Chamber’s proactive approach to economic development and the importance of building relationships beyond Central Texas. By connecting directly with key decision-makers, industry influencers, and emerging businesses, the delegation helped elevate Round Rock’s visibility in the national marketplace and create opportunities for future investment. The trip also demonstrated the value of the Chamber’s Momentum program, which brings together public and private sector leaders to advance the community’s long-term economic prosperity. The relationships established and strengthened during the visit will support ongoing business attraction efforts as Round Rock continues to compete for high-quality jobs and capital investment.
