Charlie Culpepper has been a dedicated member of the Round Rock community for nearly five decades. Charlie and his wife of 51 years, Kathy, have raised two children, Kristin Stevens and Chris Culpepper, and are proud grandparents to five grandchildren. A longtime resident of Round Rock, Charlie has deep roots in the area, having owned Round Rock Industrial Equipment for 30 years.
Charlie served as a commissioner on the Round Rock Planning and Zoning Commission from 1982 to 1985, and then as a councilmember on the Round Rock City Council from 1985 to 1992. From 1989 to 1992, he also served as Mayor Pro Tem, before stepping into the role of Mayor of Round Rock from 1993 to 1999. In addition to his local leadership, he was a director for the Texas Municipal League from 1997 to 1999.
A committed community volunteer, Charlie has held leadership roles in several organizations, including the Round Rock Sertoma Club and Round Rock Rotary, where he has been both a member and past president. He was also a board member of the Round Rock Chamber from 2002 to 2006 and served as Board Chair from 2004 to 2005. His other volunteer roles include board membership with the March of Dimes Austin Chapter and the Boy Scouts of America Capitol Area Council. He is also a charter member of The University Club.
