Round Rock Chamber Celebrates 2023 National Small Business Week: May 1-6
Recognizing the first week of May is National Small Business Week, we take a moment to celebrate the heart and soul of our local economy: small businesses.
From family-owned restaurants to boutique shops and independent contractors, small businesses are the backbone of Round Rock’s economy, providing unique products and services while creating jobs and boosting our local community.
This year’s National Small Business Week, taking place from May 1-6, serves as a reminder of the significant role small businesses play in our society. It is a time to acknowledge their hard work and resilience in the face of adversity, especially over the past couple of years.
Round Rock is home to a diverse range of small businesses that contribute to the city’s vibrant culture and charm. From the award-winning Round Rock Donuts to Round Rock Honey, our small businesses have become cherished fixtures in our community, serving as gathering places for locals and tourists alike.
One such business is Bluebonnet Beer Company. Founded by husband-and-wife duo, David and Clare Hulama, Bluebonnet Beer Company started in 2014. It all started with David’s immense passion for homebrewing and the couple’s desire to establish a place where families can enjoy the craft brewery scene in Round Rock.
Another example is Hometown Gift & Decor, a specially curated boutique where you will find high-quality home décor, modern baby clothing, hand-crafted jewelry, and thoughtful gifts that opened its doors in 2022.
As we celebrate National Small Business Week, let’s take a moment to show our support for the small businesses that make Round Rock such a special place to live and work. Whether it’s ordering takeout from a local restaurant, shopping at a boutique, or hiring a local contractor for a home renovation project, we can all play a role in supporting our small business community.
National Small Business Week is a time to recognize the hard work and dedication of our local small business owners. Join us in celebrating and supporting our small businesses in Round Rock, Texas, and let’s keep them thriving for years to come.
