Round Rock Chamber Announces 2021 Business Awards

ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Round Rock Chamber today announced its annual business and community award winners. The winners are:

• Ambassador of the Year: Sunil Chitre, Blue Sun Development, LLC
• Ascend: Michelle Ly, The Rock Sports Bar
• Big Boy Hester Small Business of the Year: Hall Roofing and Construction
• Business of the Year: Lott Brothers Construction Company
• Chairman’s Award: Round Rock Chamber Staff
• Citizen of the Year: Lori Scott, Round Rock Area Serving Center
• Investor of the Year (Individual): Rick Villarreal, State Farm Insurance
• Lifetime Achievement Award: Yolanda Sanchez, Round Rock Ballet Folklorico

“What an amazing group of nominees we were presented with this year! This selection process was not an easy task,” said Avis Wukasch, Chamber Board Chair. “Congratulations to the winners. We are proud to recognize your achievements and dedication to our community.”

The honors will be presented at the Chamber’s Annual Business Awards program February 2, 2022 at Kalahari Resort & Convention Center. The event will also celebrate the Chamber’s 2021 successes, recognize the outgoing board members, and welcome the 2022 board of directors.

“After two very challenging years, we are thrilled to hold this event in person again and to celebrate the spirit of community and perseverance these leaders exemplify,” said Jason Ball, Chamber CEO and President. “Kalahari is the perfect place to do this as it opened during the pandemic and just recently celebrated its first year in operation this year.”

In addition to the Chamber’s awards, The Greater Round Rock Community Foundation will announce their philanthropic honors for Innovation in Philanthropy and Philanthropy awards.
