Round Rock Chamber to Serve as Regional Host for 2026 National Civics Bee

The Round Rock Chamber is excited to announce that we will serve as a local host for the 2026 National Civics Bee, a nationwide, nonpartisan competition organized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. This is our first year participating and we are so excited to offer this new opportunity to our Round Rock students!

This competition gives middle school students (grades 6–8) a chance to engage in civics, showcase their ideas, and compete for recognition and prizes. Students are invited to submit a short essay proposing a solution to improve their community. Top-scoring essayists will advance to a live quiz competition hosted here in Round Rock, with the opportunity to move on to the state and national levels.

Participating students will strengthen their writing, public speaking, and civic knowledge while forming meaningful connections with other young leaders in our community.

We encourage you to share this opportunity with your educators and students and help inspire the next generation of civic-minded leaders!

Essay Submission Window

Students submit their essay through the National Civics Bee Portal and will be assigned to the nearest Regional Bee based on their address.
