Mars Auto Announces U.S. Operations Relocation to Round Rock, Texas

(Round Rock, TX – July 31, 2024) – Mars Auto, a leading innovator in autonomous vehicle technology based in South Korea, is thrilled to announce the relocation of its U.S. operations from the Dallas area into Round Rock, Texas. This strategic move is part of Mars Auto’s ongoing commitment to driving innovation and enhancing its presence in key technological hubs across the United States.

In Korea, Mars Auto started the first autonomous pilot program in 2020 and started the first commercial operation of their autonomous trucks in 2023. Since then, they have been the only commercial long-haul autonomous freight shipper in Korea, and in 2024, the company decided to expand its fleet to the American market. To completely automate middle-mile logistics, via self-driving long-haul trucks, Mars Auto uses a camera-centric AI model. The trucks use a hub-to-hub model to automate long-haul freight shipping for companies requiring long highway stretches.
