Leadership Round Rock Class of 2022 Project

Each year, the Leadership Round Rock (LRR) program will work with a local non-profit towards a specific project as they go through the LRR curriculum. The goal of the class project is both to unite the participants in accomplishing a common goal as well as allow them to make their mark on the community by completing a service project for an outstanding organization. This year, the LRR Class of 2022 chose to work with the Round Rock Police Foundation and the Round Rock Police Department for their first annual Step N2 Success program.

The goal of the Step N2 Success program is to provide a new pair of free tennis shoes to Round Rock kids ages 5 to 17 in order to start off the school year with confidence and to “Step N2 Success” for the school year. Through the efforts of the LRR class’s fundraising, the group was able to raise over $30,000 to assist the program this year and to have funds for years to come. Thanks to this year’s Step N2 Success Program, nearly 200 Round Rock students received a free, new pair of shoes and socks, Kalahari water park day passes, and four Round Rock Express tickets.
