Rallying Around our Neighbors Impacted by the July 4 Flood

Dear Chamber Members,

Our region has witnessed unimaginable devastation as historic flash flooding swept through Central Texas and the nearby Hill Country—claiming more than 120 lives and displacing families, businesses, and entire communities.

Among the hardest hit was the Camp Mystic area along the Guadalupe River, where floodwaters tragically overtook a beloved summer camp, resulting in the heartbreaking loss of dozens of children and counselors. Williamson County—along with Kerr, Travis, Burnet, Kendall, and others—has also been significantly impacted. As search and rescue operations continue, communities across the region are beginning the long road to recovery.

In Round Rock, we understand what it takes to rebuild after disaster. During our own times of crisis, others have shown up for us. Now it’s our turn to do the same.

We are especially grateful to the first responders and rescue teams who have worked tirelessly to protect lives and support families in the face of such immense loss. Their courage and dedication represent the best of Texas.

We encourage our Chamber members and community partners to consider making a contribution—whether financial or in-kind—to the organizations listed below that are leading local relief and recovery efforts.

In times of tragedy, the business community plays a vital role—not just as employers, but as leaders and neighbors. Thank you for your continued care, your action, and your commitment to the community.

Best,
Jordan Robinson
