Educator site visits fuel innovation in Round Rock ISD classrooms

On August 5, more than 200 Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers from Round Rock Independent School District stepped out of the classroom and into local workplaces across Round Rock and Central Texas.

These visits give teachers the opportunity to connect directly with local employers and discover real-world applications they can bring back to their classrooms. By seeing industry in action and understanding skills employers are looking for, educators can better prepare students for future careers while making classroom lessons more relevant and engaging.

Teachers consistently leave these experiences equipped with new ideas and excited to incorporate what they’ve learned into their lesson plans. Strengthening the connection between education and industry is an important part of building a strong talent pipeline, ensuring students are prepared to succeed as they enter the workforce.
