Cruising Through Careers – 7th-8th Grade Career Exploration Event

As our local economy continues to grow, there are a number of opportunities that will eventually be available for K-12 students once they enter the workforce. In order to provide experiences for students to start to think about their potential career choice, Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area is hosting a middle school career exploration event called Cruising Through Careers for students from several local school districts.

At the event, students will get an opportunity to speak to company representatives to highlight the various career pathways or jobs available within their industry/business. Employers at the event will cover a number of industries such as Advanced Manufacturing, Business and Entrepreneurship, Healthcare Industries, Skilled Trades and more that align with available CTE courses.

Below are some details about the event

  • Date: Thursday, February 27, 2025
  • Time: 10 AM to 2 PM (Participating Employers Set-Up 9:00 am)
  • Address: Round Rock Sports Center, 2400 Chisholm Trail Rd, Round Rock, TX 78681
  • Cost: Businesses will NOT be charged. A donation can be made to WSRCA to help cover costs, but it is not required to participate.
