Celebrating the 2024 Graduates of Leadership Round Rock and Ascend
This past week, we had the pleasure of celebrating the 2024 graduating class of two of our amazing leadership programs: Leadership Round Rock and Ascend.
These graduates have completed a year-long journey that has equipped them with the skills, knowledge, and connections to serve the Round Rock community more effectively.
Leadership Round Rock is dedicated to developing leadership skills and raising awareness about the issues and opportunities that shape our city. Throughout the program, participants gained valuable insights into topics such as Round Rock’s history, infrastructure, education, and the importance of community involvement. A few fun things they did included touring a water treatment plant, driving a police car, and trying their hand at operating a fire hose. Every year, the class selects a non-profit to raise money for their class project. This year, the class raised over $30,000 for StepN2Success, a program of the Round Rock Police Department.
Ascend is an advanced leadership program offered by the Round Rock Chamber, designed for emerging leaders ready to take their skills to the next level. As the graduate-level extension of Leadership Round Rock, Ascend provides participants with a deeper understanding of community issues and challenges. They also had the opportunity to connect directly with Ascend alumni and local mentors to set leadership goals for the future.
Congratulations to the 2024 graduates! We are so grateful for your dedication to our community and are excited to see the amazing things you will accomplish in the years ahead. Thank you for your investment in Round Rock’s future!
