Ambassador Spotlight: Terry Myers
Round Rock Chamber Ambassadors help support the chamber’s mission by ensuring that new investors are welcomed to the chamber family properly and they play an important role in ribbon cutting events. This month, we are highlighting Terry Myers.
Terry wasn’t born in Texas, but she got here as soon as she could at the age of eight. She grew up in Alvin, home to Nolan Ryan, where she attended Alvin Junior College as a math major. Terry moved to Dallas and then Houston where she worked in the insurance field as a commercial rater and underwriter for the next ten years. She and her husband moved to Round Rock in 1985 to raise their family. In 1989, she started Kaleidoscope Toys and successfully ran the business for twenty-eight years. It was during this time she connected with and became involved in the Round Rock Chamber. “Giving back to the community that supported me became an integral part of my way of life.”
Terry officially became an Ambassador in January 2019. She has always enjoyed supporting her community through the activities and charity drives she ran through Kaleidoscope Toys. “Becoming an Ambassador just made sense. As an Ambassador, I’m able to reach out and welcome new businesses and be involved in their success as well as the success of Round Rock.”
Terry changed careers in April 2018 when she earned her Real Estate license. She works with people to help navigate them through the home buying and selling process. “I love the relationships I’m able to form during this process.” She currently holds her GRI, RENE, ABR, and SRS designations.
Terry lives in Round Rock with her husband, Clif. Their three sons Steve, Dustin, and Randy all live in the Houston area. She has seven grandchildren with number eight arriving in August.
