Ambassador Spotlight: Mike Lipsey

The Round Rock Chamber Ambassador Program provides an opportunity for motivated, enthusiastic, and articulate business people to represent the Chamber at functions and events across the community. This month’s Ambassador Spotlight is on Mike Lipsey.

Mike was born in a small town outside of Houston called Baytown, TX where he attended school up until the ninth grade when he moved to Colorado Springs. During his time here, he enjoyed hiking and visiting the many touristy places it has to offer.  Around the eleventh grade, Mike moved to Waco and graduated from High School in a little town called Riesel. After graduating, Mike moved to Austin and began his banking career.

Mike has over 22 years in retail banking experience and has recently transitioned to Commercial Banking with Frost Bank and he loves the opportunity to assist his clients in achieving financial success.

Mike and his family have lived in Round Rock for the last 11 years and he has a wonderful wife and four children (three boys – ages 20, 17, 12 and a daughter who is seven). Mike, his wife, as well as their oldest son, enjoy the fitness lifestyle as a hobby and have competed in several bodybuilding competitions.

As a family, they love camping and pretty much any vacation that includes a beach. And on some weekends they take sporadic trips to Fredericksburg to enjoy the abundance of food and wine that is offered.

Living in the community he believes it is vital to be involved, to be connected, and to serve the community.  He chose to be involved with the Ambassador program to be able to serve the community through his involvement within the Chamber, to build relationships with the wonderful team of Ambassadors, and to be able to support the business community.
