Ambassador Spotlight: Mike Barschow
The Round Rock Chamber Ambassador Program provides an opportunity for motivated, enthusiastic, and articulate businesspeople to represent the Chamber at functions and events across the community. This month’s Ambassador Spotlight is on Mike Barschow.
Mike grew up in Avon Lake, a small town outside of Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from Avon Lake High School, Mike attended Bowling Green State University where he received a B.S. in Education with a specialization in Sports Management. His dream job was to work in the front office of the Cleveland Browns.
Mike moved to Texas and started a career in the insurance industry, working his way up from a customer service representative to a claims manager. During this time, Mike learned a great deal about how the insurance industry functions and how important it is to have the right coverage for your family.
After leaving the insurance industry, he has used this knowledge for the last 17 years in the restoration industry helping people recover from damage to their homes and businesses. The last three years, Mike has worked for Servpro of East Round Rock.
Mike moved to Round Rock in 2002 with his wife and three children. He has been heavily involved in the Round Rock community coaching and refereeing youth sports through the YMCA as well as with the city.
Mike joined the Round Rock Chamber in an effort to be more involved in the community and to learn more about other businesses within the community. Mike decided to become an Ambassador after attending numerous networking events and learned that the Ambassador Program is a great way to help other people grow their business and learn more about the Round Rock community.
