Ambassador Spotlight: Edward Youmans

Round Rock Chamber Ambassadors help support the chamber’s mission by ensuring that new investors are welcomed to the chamber family properly and they play an important role in ribbon cutting events. This month, we are highlighting Edward Youmans.

Edward Youmans hails from a small, lower middle-class neighborhood in New Jersey. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2000 and served as an Electronic Warfare Craftsman, Air Traffic Controller, Senior Drill Instructor, and is currently assigned as the Assistant Inspector General for the United States Transportation Command. He is equally proud of his twenty years of military service in addition to being the first college graduate in his family, with a Master’s Degree. His military career ultimately brought him to Texas in 2013.

Edward has been an Ambassador since December 2017 and was selected as the Chamber’s Ambassador of the Year for 2019. He loves the City of Round Rock and is committed to helping small businesses grow and prosper. It’s common to hear; “Edward is at every event and it’s amazing how it seems like everyone knows him”.

Edward serves on the Chamber’s Board of Directors and believes the Chamber needs to remain the economic-generation leader for Round Rock. Additionally, he actively serves on all four of our councils and has represented the Chamber at the State Capitol and at the County in support of the 2019 Williamson County Road Bond. He has been appointed to serve on the City of Round Rock’s Ethics Review Commission, serves on the Board of Directors for the Round Rock Police Foundation, and is President-Elect for a Williamson County Leaders Organization. He is a graduate of Round Rock UniverCity, the Round Rock Citizens Police Academy, Leadership Round Rock ISD, and is currently enrolled in Leadership Round Rock, and the Williamson County Sheriff’s Citizen’s Academy.

Edward owns and operates Pizza Delight; Round Rock’s Voted “Best Pizza”, “Best Wings”, “Best Beer” and this year “Best Company that Donates/Gives Back to the Community”! His philosophy is to “take care of the community and the community will take care of you”. At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Edward continued his commitment to the community and rapidly added additional staff to accommodate the increased demand for their delivery and curb-side orders while continuing to provide Williamson County’s healthcare workers and first responders with free or discounted meals.

Edward and his wife Beth enjoy their days off entertaining on their boat in Lake Austin, hosting friends at their home, and loving on their two cats, Vinnie and Callie.
