Ambassador Spotlight: Daniel Castoreno
The Round Rock Chamber Ambassador program serves as a welcoming committee by offering the hand of friendship to chamber investors. They help promote the chamber and welcome new investors. This month’s Ambassador Spotlight is on Daniel Castoreno with Home2 Suites Round Rock Medical Center who returned to the Ambassador Program in June 2023.
Daniel was born in Houston but grew up in Austin as part of a playful challenge between his parents. His mother insisted that the Austin Capitol was pink, while his father claimed it was white. Surprisingly, the Capitol is actually pink due to the sunset red granite used in its construction. Moving to Pflugerville just before high school, Daniel completed his education there. Although he initially pursued marketing in college, he never anticipated finding his passion in the hotel industry. Twelve years later, he remains enamored with his work, always striving to create unforgettable experiences for guests and bring smiles to their faces. Daniel actively contributes to the Chamber Ambassador team, relishing the opportunity to network and serve as a valuable resource in the Round Rock market.
In his current role of overseeing the newly established Home2 Suites Round Rock Medical Center, Daniel has returned to the hotel brand where he began his journey when he first joined the Round Rock Chamber in 2018. He led the grand opening of the Home2 Suites on August 15 alongside Aimbridge Hospitality, the largest third-party management company. At this specific location, the hotel team often hosts guests facing various medical challenges, providing them with an opportunity to positively impact and brighten their days. These guests are dealing with family medical issues or illnesses, and the hotel team is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in their stay experience.
