Ascend is an annual program of the Round Rock Chamber designed for emerging leaders who are equipped to serve the Round Rock community and are focused on personal, professional and leadership development.

Participants of this exclusive program will receive a deep dive into specific topics and issues that affect the community. In addition, class participants will have an opportunity to connect directly with Ascend Alumni and community mentors to set future leadership goals following program graduation.

The mission of Leadership Round Rock is to develop leadership skills in individuals and promote awareness of issues and opportunities that impact Round Rock. It is designed to provide participants with important information about topics such as city history, infrastructure, and educational composition, as well as the significance of involvement in and support for the community.

Applications for the program open annually in the summer and applicants are notified of acceptance in November. The program duration is one calendar year. Tuition for the program ranges from $825 to $1,650 based on the participant’s company’s Chamber membership level.

The Entrepreneurship Council is a group of members of the start-up and small business community, working in a supportive role for the Round Rock Chamber. The council’s overarching mission is to spur the development of a thriving innovation ecosystem that supports high-growth entrepreneurs and start-up businesses in Round Rock. The council meets quarterly and organizes several programs and events throughout the year to nurture the city’s entrepreneurial environment.

This council is ideal for anyone who wants to help to build the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Round Rock.

The Business Climate Council’s mission is to guide the Chamber’s public policy work, which is focused on maintaining a strong business climate in our community and region. This council is responsible for crafting the Chamber’s Agenda for Economic Vitality, which outlines the Chamber’s positions on vital public policy issues at the local, state and federal levels. The Business Climate Council also develops a bi-annual state legislative platform. Through regular monthly meetings, the council maintains and strengthens relationships with policymakers and stays abreast of key public policy issues.

This council is ideal for local business leaders who want a voice in shaping the Chamber’s stances on policy issues before the local, state and federal government.

The Talent Development Council is made up of industry leaders and education partners dedicated to creating and maintaining a skilled workforce as it continues to be one of the most important factors in business attraction and retention. The council is focused on implementing the Chamber’s talent development initiatives in the community through focused efforts in higher education, public education, and workforce training.

This council is ideal for anyone who has experience in public education, higher education, workforce training, skilled trades and human resources.

The Small Business Opportunity Council’s mission is to encourage and educate employers to create a thriving, equal, and inclusive culture to help with retention and recruiting. This council will identify new opportunities for local businesses and expand the Chamber’s programming.

This council is ideal for anyone who wants to contribute to the Chamber’s Small Business initiatives.

Our highest-level Momentum investors serve on the Chamber’s Momentum Advisory Council (MAC). This council advises and drives the chamber’s economic development strategy. MAC meets once a month and receives regular communication about invite-only events and project announcements.

The Chamber’s Young Professionals Program is designed to build and strengthen the young professional workforce in Round Rock. The Chamber is committed to offering events and programs that revolve around leadership development, educational resources and networking with likeminded individuals.

Ambassadors of the Round Rock Chamber are members that represent the chamber at community events throughout the year. The group is tasked with gathering investor feedback and plays a pivotal role in Chamber ribbon cuttings. Ambassadors are an extension of the Chamber staff and are able to gain vital exposure for their companies.

To be considered for the Ambassador Program, applicants must be a current chamber member in good standing.
