Hello Chamber Investors!
I’m so excited to have finished up my first week on the job as the new President and CEO of the Round Rock Chamber. After months of visits and planning, I cannot describe the sense of excitement and relief I have to finally be in this special place and begin the work.
Your chamber is in great shape, with strong volunteer leadership, and a dedicated staff team leading the charge. These next few weeks are going to be fun. In that time, I’m going to be doing a whole lot of listening. Listening to our investors and community stakeholders about what their hopes, desires, and concerns are for our city and its future. All cities have obstacles to overcome, but we have so many reasons to be authentically excited in Round Rock, and a strong economy to build on. I look forward to meeting with as many people and businesses as I can in the coming weeks and months.
I want you to be assured that everything we do impacts economic development. This chamber exists to establish the structures and programs to grow this economy. And that is not limited to new business attraction. Whether it is an event, a marketing campaign, a business visitation program, or an internship opportunity – the programs and activities you have invested in will exist to grow economic opportunity for Round Rock businesses and our residents.
We celebrated this work on Wednesday at the first Momentum 4 to 6 event at the Ruby Hotel, where the program featured Bradley Dushkin from the City of Round Rock. He gave a summary of development projects under way. The partnership of our private sector and the city are what have driven the growth of this community to everyone’s benefit, and something your chamber will continue to advocate for on behalf of our community
Finally, I’d like to make sure you all have the opportunity to see this new video produced by the City of Round Rock. It is a moving visual summary of what makes Round Rock such a wonderful place to live. So wonderful, I moved here.
