The Round Rock Chamber today announced that it has opened applications for the Entrepreneurship Round Rock (ERR) program. The program, which is in its third year, aims to strengthen and expand the community’s current entrepreneurial ecosystem. This year’s program will be conducted in partnership with SCORE Austin.
The mission of ERR is to provide individuals, who are just beginning or considering an entrepreneurial enterprise, a supportive and nurturing environment where they can thoroughly evaluate their respective business models. The four-session course, each lasting three hours, will include small group discussions that are focused on strengthening the participants’ business models. The curriculum is based on the Business Model Canvas.
“SCORE Austin has certified mentors that are experienced entrepreneurs, corporate managers, and executives with a diverse set of industries and specialties who volunteer their experience and knowledge to help entrepreneurs achieve success,” according to SCORE Austin.
The classes will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on October 15, 22, 29, and November 5. The program, offered at $150 per person to local and nonlocal residents, is limited to ten people. The chamber is now accepting applications for the ERR class of 2019. The deadline to apply is Friday, September 27. “The goal of ERR is to support budding entrepreneurs so that they can successfully launch their enterprises in Round Rock,” said Amy Mizcles, the chamber’s vice president of community enhancement. “We had our first cohort in 2017, and we are looking forward to the third class of aspiring entrepreneurs in the early stages of their journey regardless of their industry or business idea.”
