Position to focus on growing chamber’s investor base
ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Round Rock Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development Partnership today announced that Laura McManus has been selected as its new investor development manager. In this role, McManus will be responsible for creating new investors by communicating the value of the chamber’s mission and its impact on economic development within the community. She will also oversee other revenue-generating platforms such as sponsorships and internet advertising. McManus will start in her new position on October 27.
“The chamber is fortunate to have Laura joining our team,” said Shontel Mays, the chamber’s vice president of events and investor engagement. “Her business experience, combined with her community and chamber involvement, brings a unique perspective to the position. Laura will prove to be a valuable benefit to all chamber investors.”
McManus joins the chamber after a twenty-year career in the healthcare field. She has held multiple business development and leadership positions; most-recently as client relations manager for Mobile Dental Solutions. She has a distinguished background in volunteerism that includes board positions with Drive a Senior, Baylor Scott & White’s Board of Visitors, and the Austin Area Home Health Council. McManus is a 2004 graduate of the chamber’s Leadership Round Rock program.
