Round Rock Chamber To Attend Life Science Forum

The Round Rock Chamber will be in attendance this week at the Texas Life Science Forum in Houston. The forum is hosted by BioHouston and Rice Alliance and is the premier life science event in Texas that brings together members from industry, emerging life science companies, academic, and investors. This is the “must attend” event for anyone in the life science industry in Texas or affiliated with innovation at the life science academic institutions.

The forum represents an opportunity to meet investors, learn about promising life science companies, to network and learn about opportunities for entrepreneurs, investment professionals, big pharma, academics and business executives serving the life science industry. Life science is one of four target sectors for our business attraction efforts in Round Rock. Our goal is to leverage existing and emerging opportunities related to life sciences research, development, and manufacturing, and ensure job growth in healthcare services that reflect local demand. With five campuses for higher education in Round Rock, four of which offer programs that relate to the life sciences industry and six hospitals in Round Rock, our community is well positioned to be part of the future growth in the life sciences industry. The area already boasts 425,00 students in a 100-mile radius and 230 life science companies, including the specialties of biologics, medical devices, diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals, making it easy to see why our region is an emerging hotspot in the life sciences sector.
