Round Rock Chamber Announces Relocation of Airco Mechanical

New headquarters location brings 400 jobs to the city

ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Round Rock Chamber today announced that Airco Mechanical will relocate its Central Texas headquarters to Round Rock. The company, a commercial and residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) service provider, will bring 400 new jobs to Round Rock and is investing millions of dollars in the rehabilitation of an existing facility.

Round Rock Mayor Alan McGraw welcomed Airco Mechanical to the city stating, “We know we aren’t the only option for a business location but we work very hard to be a welcoming community for great businesses like Airco Mechanical and are thrilled that they chose to move their headquarters to Round Rock.”

Founded in Austin in 1984, Airco Mechanical is owned by Direct Energy, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of UK-based Centrica, PLC. The new headquarters is an approximately 47,000 sq. ft. building located on the Interstate 35 frontage road.

“The new location is visible from the interstate, gives us easy access to toll roads, and room to grow in the future,” said Chip Chambliss, general manager at Airco Mechanical and longtime resident of Round Rock. “We are happy to be part of the Round Rock business community and look forward to continuing to provide exceptional service to our Central Texas customers.”

The chamber worked with company executives for many months to ensure their relocation.

“We are excited to have Airco Mechanical relocate their headquarters to Round Rock. This is another win for Round Rock as it fills a vacant building and will bring over 400 jobs to the city.” said Ben White, vice president of economic development for the Round Rock Chamber.
