California-based Singulex Corp to relocate its clinical lab to Round Rock by end of first quarter of 2018
Alameda, Calif., June 16, 2017 – Singulex, a commercial stage privately held immunodiagnostics company, announced today it is relocating its clinical laboratory business to Round Rock, TX. The new facility, called Veridia Diagnostics, will initially employ approximately 100 people when it opens.
“After carefully considering a number of options for our clinical lab, we concluded Round Rock was a perfect fit with its high quality of life, strong public education and healthcare infrastructure, and affordable housing,” said Guido Baechler, president and chief executive officer of Singulex. “Relocating also provides us the opportunity to grow our clinical lab business which in turn will create more employment opportunities in the Round Rock area.”
Veridia Diagnostics will be located in a 36,000 square foot facility at 106 Old Settlers Boulevard in Round Rock, providing the company with much needed additional space to grow and expand.
Round Rock Mayor Craig Morgan stated, “We are honored that Singulex chose Round Rock as the new location for its clinical lab. They are an excellent addition to our growing bioscience industry and we will do our part in continuing to foster a business climate that helps to propel economic growth across the state.”
“The future of the bioscience sector is strong in Round Rock, and we are thrilled that Singulex chose our community,” said Ben White, Round Rock chamber’s vice president of economic development. “We will continue to work very closely with them during the transition and look forward to witnessing their success in Texas.”
The chamber worked with Brent Campbell, commercial broker of Don Quick & Associates, Inc. to find a great location for Singulex.
