Round Rock Chamber Announces Agreement for Downtown Hotel

Upscale boutique lodging to bring $4.5 million investment

ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Round Rock Chamber announced today that RRTX Lake Creek Hotel, LP will build an upscale, boutique hotel in downtown Round Rock called The Ruby Hotel. The facility will be built on three acres and will feature thirty-five rooms located along Brushy Creek at 304 Fannin Avenue.

Round Rock Mayor Craig Morgan commented that, “having a boutique hotel in downtown Round Rock complements our strategy to continue the revitalization of downtown as an authentic and local entertainment destination.”

The Ruby Hotel is expected to bring at least thirty-five jobs and generate a $4.5 million capital investment. Hotel amenities will include a refurbished-modern residence to serve as bar and meeting space, a workout facility, and expansive glass doors in guest rooms with large private balconies overlooking Brushy Creek.

“The hotel will be located near our downtown restaurants and shops and the design and function of the hotel will stay true to the beauty and character of our historic downtown,” said Ben White, the chamber’s vice president of economic development.
