Round Rock Chamber Announces 2018 Business Awards
Navcon Group; Studio 16:19; and Ultra Electronics receive business honors
The Round Rock Chamber today announced its annual business and community award winners.
The winners are:
“Big Boy” Hester Small Business of the Year: Studio 16:19
Business of the Year: Navcon Group
Global Business of the Year: Ultra Electronics
Investor of the Year: Zahir Walji, High Country Market Gastropub
Ambassador of the Year: Scott Huckabay, Brookshire Insurance Agency
Chairman’s Award: Mayor Craig Morgan, City of Round Rock
Citizen of the Year: Chief Allen Banks, City of Round Rock Police Department
Lifetime Achievement Award: Scott Swindell, Almost Sundown Development
“The list of tremendous business leaders and organizations in Round Rock is as impressive as it is extensive,” said Mike Odom, the chamber’s president and CEO. “These winners exemplify everything great about our community, and the chamber is proud to present them with this small token of our appreciation for their contributions.”
In addition to the chamber’s awards, The Greater Round Rock Community Foundation announced their philanthropic honors. Stacy Johnson of Central Texas Table of Grace was named Innovation in Philanthropy awardee and the late Nancy Rabb was recognized posthumously with the foundation’s Philanthropy award.
The honors will be presented at the chamber’s Annual Awards Banquet January 29, 2019. The event will also celebrate the chamber’s 2018 successes, recognize the outgoing board members, and welcome the 2019 board of directors.
