Ascend is a young professional program that develops a pipeline of leaders for the Round Rock community through four pillars: personal development, community engagement, peer-to-peer, and community impact.
The mission of Ascend, a program of the Round Rock Chamber, is to continue developing leaders so that they realize tangible, measurable progress in their professional and/or community leadership roles in the Round Rock area by the end of the three-year program period. This program is intended to develop a pipeline of sustainable leadership for the community.
Ascend Criteria and Format
Eligibility and Selection
Ascend is a select group of committed individuals who are actively engaged in the issues facing the City of Round Rock. Ascend applicants must be:
- under forty-five-years-old and
- an investor in the Round Rock Chamber.
Ascend is a three-year hands-on community leadership program. Attendance and active participation is required. A maximum of only two absences are allowed per year. The first meeting is a mandatory retreat to be held in January 2022.
The fee for involvement in Ascend is $400 per year and covers miscellaneous printed materials and the monthly lunches. The fee for the 2022 program year is due in full on or before January 7, 2022. There will be no refunds after the first session.
