The Round Rock Public Library’s Business Center provides a number of business-related resources. These include local business journals, ThomasNet (a manufacturers directory), and ReferenceUSA (a searchable database of millions of U.S. businesses). Through these free and easy to use tools, entrepreneurs can search for information on specific businesses, available jobs in specific industries and geographical areas, create heat maps to assess industry competition per geographical areas, and much more. A valid library card is required to access the Business Center.

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the Texas State University – Round Rock Campus works with current and potential small business owners to assist them in their goal to achieve their dreams. SBDC staff provide confidential counseling, research services, and training.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneurial education and the formation, growth, and success of small businesses nationwide. SCORE is supported by the SBA and has chapters throughout the United States and its territories. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as volunteer business counselors. On the SCORE website, you will have access to a library of resources for starting and growing your business, in addition to free or low-cost workshops, and information on finding a mentor that can assist you in your entrepreneurial journey.
