Job Summary

The Vice President of Investor Engagement reports directly to the President of the Round Rock Chamber. This member of the leadership team is responsible for elevating the Chamber’s investor experience across all touch points, creating a sustainable strategy for future growth and retaining, growing and attracting revenue to ensure all organizational goals are met.

This person will also lead the development and implementation of beneficial engagement opportunities to generate referrals, retain membership and drive new investors for the organization. The Vice President is responsible for overseeing content creation and delivering quality programming that supports the Chamber’s objectives, protect and enhance brand value and reputation, represent the voice of the business community and guarantee the Chamber’s continued leadership as the economic generation leader for Round Rock.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the investor engagement team that is responsible for identifying, cultivating and recruiting new members to the Chamber, while offering a variety of value-driven programs and products to maximize investor satisfaction to ensure the retention of the organization’s membership base.
  • Oversee revenue-generating products, such as membership sales, major events, programs and councils, and affinity partnerships, that support the mission of the Chamber while sustaining and growing revenue streams for the organization.
  • Create and deploy a consistent voice for the Chamber in all facets of investor-driven marketing and communications, keeping revenue-generating and brand-driven activities well-aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Drive retention of Chamber members through effective delivery of engaging and relevant content aimed at helping investors grow their business through leadership, professional development and networking.
  • Maintain a balanced budget and collaborate with the investor engagement team to build strategies and target lists for sponsorships which support the annual revenue goals for the organization
  • Oversee all communication and content development for Chamber events and programs including: media relations, weekly investor newsletters, website and social media content, event marketing materials, sales collateral, the Chamber’s Annual Report, award submissions and more.
  • Represent the voice of the business community by leading the Chamber’s public policy initiatives including oversight of the Business Climate Council, remaining knowledgeable about key legislative initiatives and leading the development of the Chamber’s Agenda for Economic Vitality.
  • Work closely with the leadership team and board of directors to develop an annual strategic plan and budget that will actively cultivate investor relationships critical to the Chamber’s success.
  • Manage board of directors and stakeholder relations and provide support for monthly board of director meetings, annual strategic planning sessions, board reporting and ongoing communication.

The perfect candidate for the job has:

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in management, investor relations, marketing and sales, fundraising, public policy, events or related field.
  • Experience working in a Chamber of Commerce or other membership-based organization preferred; certification from the Institute for Organizational Management (IOM) a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience in brand management, revenue generating products and profit and loss responsibility
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and be a team player
  • Results-oriented with the ability to produce a large volume of high-quality work while meeting deadlines
  • A demonstrated ability to work well with volunteers and staff at all levels
  • A high proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
