Baylor Scott & White Health Austin/Round Rock Region (BS&W Health) was recently awarded the Business Champion for Workforce Readiness award for their continued participation in and outstanding support of the Round Rock Chamber’s Summer Externship Program for Round Rock ISD Educators.
BS&W Health has hosted nine educators over four consecutive summers, every time providing a highly individualized program to ensure the educators’ professional development goals are met and exceeded. We sincerely appreciate BS&W Health for their efforts to provide current, real-world experience to educators who are teaching the next generation of workers. Through this partnership, BS&W Health has directly impacted the lives of over 1,350 students.
The Round Rock Chamber was pleased to nominate BS&W Health for the award. Recipients in that category help improve college access, develop student interest, and help prepare others for college. One of the most important investments we can make as a community is in the talent for tomorrow’s workforce by improving K-12 education, college and career opportunities, and workforce readiness for the Central Texas community.
Winners were honored at the Austin Chamber’s State of Education luncheon November 14 at the Hilton Austin. Leadership Round Rock graduate, Adam Navarro accepted the award on behalf of BS&W Health.
