Round Rock Ambassadors are an exclusive group of professionals who serve as advocates for the chamber and our investors. Ambassadors welcome new investors, attend ribbon cuttings, and help us advance our mission as the economic-generator for Round Rock.
This group plays a critical role in gathering investor feedback and relaying that information to the chamber staff. Ambassadors help support the chamber’s mission by ensuring that new investors are welcomed to the chamber properly and they play an important role in ribbon cutting events.
One of the chamber’s long-time Ambassadors is Paul Anthony Rodriguez. Paul is a life-long Texan having grown up in the South Texas border town of Mercedes. He is currently a Business Sales Specialist for Microsoft supporting small and medium businesses through the Microsoft Store at The Domain. He has been a Round Rock Chamber ambassador for four years and has over eight years of experience working with local chambers and economic development groups throughout Texas.
Paul’s career background has been focused on retail store management where he worked in various big box store leadership roles including inventory, sales, and general manager. He previously worked for HEB Grocery for over ten years in Bryan/College Station and Rockdale, and also for Best Buy in Brownsville, McAllen, and Round Rock.
His passion for technology and small business led him to join Microsoft where he helps small business owners be more productive and build a modern workplace. He enjoys simplifying the complex and finding ways to make his company a great community partner. He serves on the board of directors for a local charity, Sertoma, who raise money annually for children with speech and auditory disorders. In the last three years of service, he has been awarded the Rookie of the Year, Gem Award, and the Cliff Woisin Award for volunteerism. He has also served as a volunteer with various events for the American Red Cross, Annie’s Way, Backpack Friends, FREECON, ChickTech, and Girls Who Code.
He will be completing a BBA in Management this December from Texas A&M – Central Texas and will be entering the MBA program in the spring. Paul and his wife, Isabel, enjoy traveling, good food, great music, and local breweries. Paul says he “thoroughly enjoys being an ambassador and promoting our great city and local business community”.
