Recognized as 2017 top-notch innovator and community builder
The Round Rock Chamber announced today that its vice president of economic development, Ben White, has been named to the 2017 list of North America’s Top 50 economic developers. The list is developed each year by Consultant Connect, a consulting agency designed to bridge the gap between economic developers and site consultants.
“This annual list recognizing North America’s Top 50 economic developers is designed to acknowledge the hard work of the top leaders in this field and elevate the conversation around economic development and job creation,” said Ron Kitchens, managing partner of Consultant Connect. “Each of the leaders represented on this year’s list are beyond deserving of this recognition for their efforts in building our communities.”
The economic development professionals selected for the list were nominated by their colleagues in both the economic development industry and the site consultant community for excellent practices, innovation, and success in building the communities they serve.
“This is a very deserving honor for Ben”, said Mike Odom, the chamber’s president and CEO. “He has driven a significant amount of positive results for Round Rock, and we look forward to the continuation of this impact on our community and organization.”
During Ben’s five year tenure at the Round Rock Chamber, his work, along with that of his team, has resulted in a total of fifty project wins, over $862 million in capital investment, and 6,178 jobs.
“I am extremely honored to receive this recognition from Consultant Connect. The chamber team, the city of Round Rock, Williamson County, and our public/private Momentum investors have collaborated in a way that brings success to the Round Rock community by creating jobs and capital investment in the area.” said Ben White, the chamber’s vice president of economic development.
Each of the top economic developers will be featured in an ebook where they will share their expertise in the field and leadership insights they’ve learned along the way.
