Round Rock Chamber Announces City’s Sixth Hospital

Inpatient rehabilitation hospital to bring seventy-five jobs to Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Round Rock Chamber announced today that Medistar Corporation, a leading medical real estate company based in Houston, will build a new inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Round Rock. The state-of-the art 48,000 sq. ft. facility will be operated by Post Acute Medical, LLC (PAM) and will be located on approximately four acres of land in Avery Centre.

The modern hospital will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient therapy services featuring forty private inpatient beds. The hospital is expected to bring at least seventy-five jobs to the area and generate a $17 million capital investment. The targeted completion date for the project is July 31, 2019. PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Round Rock will feature a specially designed unit for the treatment needs of individuals who have suffered traumatic brain injury, stroke, or neurodegenerative disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease.

“PAM Rehabilitation Hospital, the sixth hospital in the city, is a great addition to Round Rock”, said Ben White, the chamber’s vice president of economic development. “It will be optimally located near Texas A&M Health Science Center and Texas State University and is a nice complement our growing healthcare sector.”
