Vice President of Economic Development
Ben is the vice president of economic development and is responsible for the chamber’s economic development efforts including business retention and expansion, business attraction, and entrepreneurship activities. He has fourteen years of economic development experience and currently serves as the president of both the Central Texas Foreign Trade Zone board and the Williamson County Economic Development Partnership.
Under Ben’s leadership, the Texas Economic Development Corporation awarded Round Rock the Community Economic Development Award (CEDA) for 2014 and the Austin Business Journal’s Best Commercial Real Estate Award in 2015. From 2008 to 2011, White was the director of economic development for the City of Rowlett. For the eight years preceding that, he worked for the Greenville, Texas Board of Development.
Ben is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a bachelor of science in business administration.
