Round Rock Independent School District

Round Rock ISD, a Texas Education Association (TEA) Recognized School District, is located in southern Williamson County and northwest Travis County.

Round Rock ISD’s teachers, administrators and all employees encourage students starting at the elementary school level to begin preparing for life after high school. From day one, all students are taught to plan on attending community college, a four-year university or an institute of higher education. Round Rock ISD is well-known for its exemplary schools with 90 percent of all students passing the Reading/English language arts, writing and social studies portions of the 2010 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test.

Round Rock ISD High School Students are able to select more than 85 dual credit and technology prep articulation credits through cooperation with Austin Community College. Round Rock ISD’s robust articulation and dual-credit agreement with Austin Community College creates a smooth transition to multiple career pathways from high school to community college and allows all students the option to earn college credit while in high school.
